Actually, you'd be surprised how many Harley riders (bikers, not RUBS) own Japanese bikes as 2nd rides -- some even own Savages. Talk to "Doc"
on the Delphi Savage forum, for example.

A lot of older bikers can appreciate the Savage because they had British thumpers when they were young; and, although the Savage bears some minor resemblence to the Sportster, it's not really a clone of anything. When you ride a Savage, you ride something with individuality; you should be proud of that.
The Boozefighters (early bike club) rode Harleys & Brits; their president's last bike (before he died) was a Savage.

Also, Sonny Barger has stated that the HA's really missed the boat by not buying Japanese bikes when they started making the bigger ones. He would've, but couldn't, because of the club.
So, as Hal has said many times, "RIDE WITH PRIDE"!
